2017 Outdoor: Opened the season at the Jim Buss Invitational running in the 800m clocking a time of 1:47.19 to take first place and ran the anchor leg of the 4x400m relay helping the team finish in second place … broke the school and meet record in the 400m at the UTEP Invitational setting a time of 44.67 … clocked 1:43.73 in the 800m at the Brutus Hamilton Challenge taking the gold medal … is one of three athletes in the world to run a sub-45 second 400m and a sub-1:44 in the 800m … scored 12.5 points at the C-USA Championships taking gold in the 400m with a time of 44.53 and helped the 4x400m relay team garner silver with a time of 3:06.94 … qualified to the NCAA West Region Preliminary in the 800m winning gold in the first of two heats with a time of 1:45.88 … captured his second national title in the 800m at the NCAA Championships running a time of 1:45.03 … the first Miners to capture back-to-back national titles in the same event. 

2017 Indoor: Debuted for the Miners at the Vanderbilt Commodore Invite, running indoors for the first time in his career and taking gold in the 800m with a stunning 1:46.50 time … went on to go undefeated in each race he took part in including setting a world record 600m time of 1:14.97 at the New Mexico Cherry and Silver … ran the third leg of the DMR team that took gold at the Music City Challenge with a time of 9:31.13 … became the first Miner to win the NCAA National Indoor title in the 800m clocking a time of 1:47.48.
