2017-18 (SOPHOMORE): Led the Miners in averages for smallbore (572), air rifle (588) and aggregate (1160) while competing in 11 of the 12 matches on the season ... paced the squad in aggregate in nine contests, for air rifle in eight matches and on six occasions for smallbore ... produced a career-high aggregate (1172) vs. TCU/Jacksonville State (1/27/18), aided by a season-best 593 in air rifle and a personal-high tying 579 in smallbore ... had established the career-high 579 in smallbore vs. UT-Martin (10/21/17) ... surpassed 590 in air rifle in five matches ... no one else on the squad broke the barrier once ... achieved the feat with a season-high 593 vs. TCU/Jacksonville State (1/27/18) while also doing so at TCU (592-11/11/17), at Ohio State (591-11/5/17), vs. Nevada in the NCAA Qualifier (591-2/17/18) and against Jacksonville State (590-1/28/18) ... the scores of 593 (tied seventh) and 592 (tied 10th) placed in UTEP's air rifle top-10 records ... also had four matches in the 580's in air rifle ... topped 570 in smallbore in five matches.

2016-17 (FRESHMAN): Led the team in air rifle average (588), which was helped by setting the school record in the event (597) at Nebraska (Nov. 13) ... her score eclipsed the effort of former Miner standout and three-time All-American Alix Moncada (596, 11/22/09) and was five points better than any individual on the range in the discipline that day ... she shot 554 in smallbore for a team-high tying aggregate of 1151 ... recorded a 592 in air rifle at the Patriot Rifle League Championships (Feb. 5) to tie for ninth on the Miner record books ... shot a personal-best 577 in smallbore while recording a squad-high 591 in air rifle to achieve career-best 1168 aggregate ... established a then personal best in both smallbore (570) and air rifle (590) to post a then career-high aggregate (1160) against Alaska Fairbanks (Nov. 4) ... topped 590 in air rifle in five separate matches throughout the season.

PRIOR TO UTEP: Powell was a commanding officer at one of the largest JROTC units in the state of New Mexico (Atrisco Heritage Academy High School) ... four-year member of the JROTC rifle team ... she captained the squad the final two years ... was a one year sporter while having three years in precision ... helped the unit qualify for the Marine Corps JROTC Service championship all four years, the JROTC National Championship in three consecutive campaigns and the NJOC in back-to-back seasons ... received a distinguished shooting badge from the Civilian Marksmanship program ... earned runner-up honors in precision aggregate at the 2014 NM State Championship ... notched a third-place finish in precision aggregate at both the 2014 and 2016 Marine Corps JROTC Service Championships ... other accomplishments on the range include topping the field in the precision aggregate at the 2015 Duke City Cup NM State Championship and taking second place in the same discipline at the 2016 NM NJOC Qualifier ... compiled 100+ hours of community service.
