2018-19 (SENIOR): Started 30 of 31 games played, including the final 28 contests ... paced the Miners in playing time (30.2 mpg), 3-pointers made (35) and attempted (108) and defensive rebounds (147) ... ranked second on the squad in rebounding (5.6), free throws made (64) and attempted (89) and third in scoring (9.1) ... reached double figures in six of the final seven games and 13 times total on the season ... recorded double-doubles at Weber State (11/28/18) and at UTSA (1/5/19) ... notched 10 points and 11 rebounds against the Wildcats and recorded a season-high 18 points to go along with 11 boards against the Roadrunners ... also put up 18 points in the home win against UTSA (2/23/19) ... scored 16 points and snagged eight rebounds in a career-most 39 minutes in the double-overtime win against Marshall (3/13/19) in the first round of the C-USA Tournament ... set personal highs for both free throws made (eight) and attempted (14) against Middle Tennessee (1/19/19) ... dished out a career best five assists against both Abilene Christian (11/24/18) and LA Tech (2/14/19) ... drilled a career-high four 3-pointers against Nicholls State (11/23/18) ... matched that effort by going 4-6 from distance at UTSA ... the majority (147 of 173) of her rebounds were at the defensive end.
2017-18 (JUNIOR): Made an immediate impact for the squad after arriving as one of two (Jordan Jenkins) newcomers on the squad ... started all 31 contests ... shared the team lead for steals (24) while ranking second on the squad for offensive rebounds (46), third in rebounding (6.0), free throws made (66) and attempted (92) and fifth in minutes per game (28.0 mpg) and scoring (8.4 ppg) ... hit double figures in points in 10 games, including five straight to close out the campaign ... poured in a career-high 19 points vs. WKU (3/3/8) on “Senior Day”... eight of her 10 double-digit scoring efforts came vs. C-USA opposition … notched her first career double-double (15 points, 10 rebounds) in the season-opening win vs. CSU Bakersfield (11/11/17) … also set personal bests for assists (four), free throws made (eight) and free throws attempted (11) in that contest … had two other performances with 10+ boards, including a personal-best 13 at North Texas (1/28/18) … paced UTEP with 18 points vs. UAB (2/2/18) … pulled down a team-high total for rebounds in four contests … registered two steals in four different contests … paced or shared the top spot in thefts for a UTEP-high 12 separate games … swatted a career-high two shots at FIU (1/5/18) … eclipsed 50.0 percent from the floor in eight tilts, including making eight field goals against both UAB and WKU.
PRIOR TO UTEP: Played one season each with Trinity Valley Community College (2016-17) and Louisiana (2015-16) … last year helped TVCC qualify for its 10th straight trip to the national tournament and finish with an overall record of 30-6 … put up 6.5 points per game while also grabbing 2.5 rebounds per game … played in 35 contests, including 12 starts … reached double figures in scoring in eight games, including tallying 18 points in a home triumph against Panola College … was 6-6 from the floor and 4-4 at the free-throw line in the contest … as a freshman with Louisiana she appeared in 27 games, including eight starts, for a team that finished 25-10 … earned 10.1 minutes per game, pitching in 2.4 points per game and 1.7 rebounds per game … nailed 43.0 percent (23-53) of her shots from the floor and 87.0 percent (14-16) from the charity stripe … four-year letter winner at Dallas Skyline High School (2011-15) under head coach Cassandra McCurdy … the team won the district championship all four years of her career … as a senior the squad earned runner-up honors in the state.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Patricia and Bobby Alexander … has three siblings … her sister (Ratysha) and cousin (Khamra Echols) both played basketball at Sam Houston State ... started playing basketball in third grade ... enjoys reading and taking pictures in her spare time ... chose UTEP over CSU Bakersfield and Southern Miss ... multidisciplinary studies major.
