2019-20 (JUNIOR)

Spent majority of the spring competing at No. 1 doubles with Kathleen Percegona.
Duo posted back-to-back victories against players from at Texas Wesleyan University (2/14) and against LA Tech (2/15).
Tied for third on the team in doubles wins (four) during the spring, including an effort of 3-7 at the top spot.
Also picked up a win in her lone match at No. 3 doubles.
Secured a pair of wins in singles action on the season.
Defeated UAB’s (9/13) Alexia Witthaus Vine 7-5, 4-6, 11-9, in a super tiebreaker to pick up her first career victory.
Posted a 7-6, 6-4 victory against Lucia Zagar from Youngstown State (2/21), helping the Miners rally for a 4-3 win.

PRIOR TO UTEP

Competed two seasons with Seward County Community College, helping the program win back-to-back Region VI titles.
The Lady Saints compiled a combined record of 22-9 in that timeframe, and were rated eighth nationally in the most-recent NJCAA poll.
In 2018-19 Aveiga advanced to the semifinals of Nationals in both singles and doubles play.
Was seeded fifth in the field in both singles and doubles.
She was ranked fifth nationally in doubles play and 19th in singles action.
Claimed an ITA Central Regional doubles crown while playing with Patricia Panta in September 2018.
Was the Region VI No. 2 singles champion and the Region VI No. 2 doubles champion as a freshman.
Registered a 10-6 singles record while playing primarily at the No. 2 position.
Forged a 14-5 doubles record with the majority of her action as part of the No. 2 tandem.
Finished in fifth place in the NJCAA No. 2 singles spot and was the NJCAA No. 2 Doubles Consolation Champion.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Jorge Aveiga and Janeth Loor … has two sisters … has been playing tennis for 13 years … enjoys reading books, listening to music, watching movies and going to the beach with friends and family in her spare time.
