Athletic Training

Recruiting Days/Evaluation Days

M/W Basketball -
In men's basketball, a recruiting-person day is defined as one coach engaged in an off-campus recruiting activity of a men's basketball prospective student-athlete on one day (12:01 a.m. to midnight); two coaches engaged in recruiting activities on the same day shall use two recruiting-person days. Men's basketball staff members shall not exceed 130 recruiting-person days during the academic year.

In women's basketball, a recruiting-person day is defined as one coach engaged in an off-campus recruiting activity of a women's basketball prospective student-athlete on one day (12:01 a.m. to midnight); two coaches engaged in recruiting activities on the same day shall use two recruiting-person days. Women's basketball staff members shall not exceed 112 recruiting-person days a year (measured August 1 through July 31). A coach's involvement in off-campus recruiting activities during the July evaluation periods does not count toward the limitation.

Football & Volleyball - An evaluation day is defined as one coach engaged in the evaluation of any prospective student-athlete on one day (12:01 a.m. to midnight). Two coaches making evaluations on the same day shall use two evaluation days. Limitations on evaluation days include a maximum of 42 days during the fall evaluation period and a maximum of 168 days during the spring evaluation period for football and 80 days in women's volleyball.

Campus Visits
 

Official Visits: At least 48 hours prior to the start of the visit, Coaches must submit an Official Visit Approval Form, along with a copy of the prospect's transcript to the Compliance Office. The Business Office will not confirm travel arrangements until they receive a signed Official Visit Approval Form from the Compliance Office.

Camps & Clinics:

The Required Camp/Clinic Forms checklist does not need to be submitted to the Compliance Office. Its purpose is to help Camp/Clinic Directors keep track of all of them any Forms to be submitted to the Compliance Office for each camp.

Coaches that intend to work at a noninstitutional camp or clinic must have the Camp Director fill out the Noninstitutional Camp-Clinic Form. This form must be submitted to the Compliance Office for approval prior to the start of the camp.

Local Sports Clubs

Local Sports Club Handbook - 
This handbook contains all information, rules, and forms relevant for coaches looking to operate or work with a local sports club. All forms must be provided to the Athletic Compliance Office on an annual basis or when any changes occur within the Local Sports Club.

Local Sports Club Ownership Declaration Form (Form A) - All coaches looking to own/operate a local sports club must complete this attached form and provide all accompanying information as described in the form.

Coaches should accompany the Ownership Declaration Form with the following two forms


Local Sports Club Employment Form (Form D) - Any coach wishing to work for a local sports club must fill out the attached form and provide a signature form the local sports club director. Additionally the coach must provide the training schedule and competition schedule for any teams they will be working with.
