Wil Hodnett is in his first year as an assistant athletic trainer for UTEP. Hodnett, who arrived in the Sun City in 2015 as a graduate assistant working with football and women's golf, was recently promoted to full-time status. He provides health care and injury prevention for the women's basketball team. Furthermore, he also oversees the treatment and care for women's volleyball.
Hodnett's faith is the most important thing in his life. It fuels his passions and carries him throughout the rocky waters in the journey of life. His relationship with Christ is his highest, most important calling in life. He finds particular inspiration for his work in the field of athletic training from the Bible verse 1 Timothy 4:12; which reads, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity".
A native of New Mexico is living his dream in the Lone Star State. He is a May 2015 graduate of West Texas A&M University. In his downtime he enjoys traveling, discovering new people and places. He is passionate about people and athletic training.
