2019 Miner Football A-Z Guide

ADA PARKING
ADA parking is available in all the lots on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional ADA parking is located in the SC2 lot off of Schuster Drive by the roundabout of the Spur 1966. Shuttles will be available from the SC2 parking area to the North Sun Bowl entrance. The shuttle will start running two hours before kickoff and resume operation at the end of the third quarter until all patrons are serviced.

ADA SEATING
For the 2019 football season, wheelchair/ADA seating is available in the following sections of the Sun Bowl Stadium:

Sections 3, 5 and 7 on the concourse level on the west side of the stadium. Access to wheelchair/ADA seating in sections 3, 5 and 7 may only be accessed through the north or south stadium entrances due to ongoing stadium renovations during the 2019 football season.
Section 13 and section 15, on the concourse level in the north end zone of the stadium.
Section 19, on the concourse level in the UTEP student section on the east side of the stadium.

Wheelchair/ADA seating located on the terrace level in the upper west section of the stadium will return for the 2020 season once stadium renovations are complete.

ATMS
ATMs are located on the concourse at sections 13 and 23.

CODE OF CONDUCT
All Sun Bowl Stadium guests are expected to maintain reasonable and appropriate behavior at all times. Sun Bowl Stadium has a “Zero Tolerance” policy for inappropriate fan behavior during all events. Any behavior defying code of conduct, as determined by facility management, can result in ejection from the facility, loss of ticket privileges, and/or arrest. Guests who are ejected from the facility will not receive a refund for the ticket(s) or be compensated in any way.

CONCESSIONS
Food items are available for purchase with cash, credit cards, and debit cards. Checks are not accepted.

DRONES
The use of remote-controlled model aircraft to include drones is strictly prohibited on University property.

DURHAM CENTER PREGAME HOSPITALITY
The Durham Center features a pregame hospitality available to Miner Athletic Club donors who participate in the Circle of Champions program. Doors to the hospitality open 90 minutes prior to kickoff and the event features an upscale buffet and hosted bar. EMERGENCY/EVACUATION PROCEDURES
Should dangerous lightning or some other condition require the evacuation of the stadium, remain calm, and follow the instructions of the stadium security and ushering personnel and the public address announcements. Guests should migrate to the concourse level. Announcements will be made when guests are safe to either return to their stadium seating or exit to their vehicles. During an evacuation, all guests must completely depart the stadium and not remain on the premises. The public address system will provide additional instructions during an emergency.

FIELD ACCESS
Stadium guests are not permitted access to the playing field at any time during an event. Only guests with the proper credentials will be allowed on the field. Anyone entering the field without proper credentials is subject to removal from the stadium and/or arrest.

FREE PARKING
Free parking is available in the following lots: SB2 & SB3 (south of Sun Bowl Stadium), and SC2, SC3 & SC4 (on Schuster Avenue). A courtesy shuttle is available to and from the south lots only.

GAME PROGRAM
Football game programs are free of charge and are distributed as fans enter the stadium. Supplies are limited so fans should arrive early to secure their copy.

GATE OPENING TIMES
Gates open one and a half hours prior to kickoff for all UTEP home games.

LOST & FOUND SERVICES
Lost and Found is located at the Guest Services booth outside of the Larry K. Durham Center glass windows, behind section 15. If an item is found, please give it to an usher or turn it in to Guest Services. If an item is lost, check with Guest Services. After the game all the lost and found items will be transferred to UTEP PD, 3118 Sun Bowl Drive. To inquire about a lost item, call the office at 747-6338.

LOST CHILDREN
Separated children and parents should contact the nearest Sun Bowl Stadium employee or go to the nearest Customer Relations booth. (See customer relations for locations throughout the stadium).

PARKING GUIDELINES

One tailgate setup per parking space to include vehicle, canopies and cooking area. Spaces are available on a ﬁrst-come, ﬁrst-served basis.
Tailgating should take place within 4 feet in front of or behind your vehicle. No tailgating allowed in the parking garages.
Overnight parking, with exception of ticketed RV’s, is not allowed on University property.

PICKAXE TAILGATE PARTIES
Don’t miss the biggest tailgate in town! Stop by the Pickaxe Tailgate prior to each home football game on Kidd Field. The festivities start three hours prior to kickoff and feature a full meal, a wide array of beverages, games and activities, entertainment, giveaways, special appearances by university leadership and UTEP head coaches, performances by the UTEP Marching Band and Cheerleaders as well as Paydirt Pete, and so much more! RE-ENTRY POLICY
Re-Entry will be allowed with a valid, scanned ticket, and hand stamp upon exit. Please ask a gate attendant for assistance.

RESTRICTED ACCESS AREAS
Unauthorized individuals are not permitted in restricted areas of Sun Bowl Stadium during or after an event. The restricted areas include, but are not limited to, the ﬁeld, locker rooms and offices. Violators are subject to criminal sanctions and/or the University’s disciplinary processes.

RV PARKING
RV parking is available in the SC1 lot (on Schuster Avenue). The lot opens at 8 a.m. the day before the game. RV season passes are $250 and are available by calling 915-747-6150.

SEATING
Sections 10 through 17 are for general admission. Sections 18 through 21 are student seating. All other seating areas are reserved for numbered ticket holder.

SECURITY
To ensure the safety of our patrons and an enjoyable event for all, patrons will be subject to a search and/or wanding by event staff personnel. Event staff is not responsible for any items or personal property voluntarily left during search procedures at the entrance.

SEASON TICKETS
UTEP season tickets start at just $60 and are on sale now! Call 747-6150 or visit the UTEP Season Ticket Office, Brumbelow Building Room 109 (next to the Don Haskins Center). Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm.

SINGLE-GAME TICKETS
UTEP single-game tickets start at just $12 and will go on sale Aug. 5. They can be purchased at the UTEP Ticket Center, 747-5234. Locations are 2901 North Mesa (next to the Don Haskins Center) or on the East side at 1452 Zaragoza Suite A-500. Westside Ticket Center hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am-6 pm and Saturday, 8 am-4 pm. Eastside Ticket Center hours are Monday through Friday, 10 am-6 pm and Saturday, 10 am-4 pm. Hours are subject to change.

On game day, tickets can be purchased at the North and South Sun Bowl box offices beginning three hours prior to kickoff.

SMOKE AND TOBACCO FREE UTEP
The UTEP campus and its athletic venues are 100% smoke-free and tobacco-free. Please be respectful to the University by keeping UTEP a smoke-free environment for all its visitors to enjoy.

STUDENT TICKETS
Beginning Fall 2019, eligible UTEP students are able to go directly to Sun Bowl Stadium and gain access by having their Miner Gold Card scanned at the gate on game day.

Prior to game days, student guest tickets may be purchased at the UTEP Ticket Center located at 2901 N. Mesa Street or in the Union Building East room 111.

On game days, student guest tickets may be purchased at the UTEP Ticket Center at 2901 N. Mesa St., the eastside location at 1452 N. Zaragoza Suite A-500 or at the Sun Bowl box office.

TAILGATING

For your safety, glass containers are not allowed anywhere on campus during game days.
Kegs, beer balls, and other common-source containers are prohibited on campus and in tailgating areas. This includes beer funnels.
Inner campus tailgates may start at noon while outer lot tailgates may begin at 8 a.m.
No amplified sound and/or DJs are permitted unless written approval is granted from UTEP Athletics (email seasontickets@utep.edu). When approved, music must be confined to individual tailgate areas and speakers must be directed into the individual tailgate area.

TEAM BENCHES
The UTEP bench is located at the West (press box) side of the stadium. The visiting team bench is located at the East side of the stadium.

TRAFFIC PLAN
Fans are recommended to access the North parking lots via Mesa Street and the South lots via I-10 and the Schuster exit.

VIDEO BOARD MESSAGES
UTEP Athletics is happy to celebrate fans’ special occasions on game day such as birthdays and anniversaries. Fans can purchase a video board message that will appear on the south video board during halftime for $150. Video board messages must be requested at least one (1) week in advance of the game at which they are supposed to occur. Messages are allowed a maximum of 12 words, must be in good taste and UTEP retains the right to modify any message. For more information, call (915) 747-8199.

Single-game purchase tickets can be picked up at the North and South Sun Bowl box offices, beginning three hours prior to all home games. Will-call is located next to the Durham Center. Players, coaches and recruit tickets are available an hour and a half prior to kickoff at the North Sun Bowl location.
