Mission Statement

The Miner Athletic Club (MAC) is the principal fundraising arm of UTEP Athletics, representing the student-athletes, coaches, and staff who support the department's 16 sports programs. Through unique experiences and events, the MAC builds meaningful relationships with UTEP alumni, fans, and members of the El Paso community to elevate the profile of UTEP Athletics by generating revenue that supports Student-Athlete Scholarships and NIL opportunities, Capital Projects, and Sport Excellence Funds. By providing these essential resources, the MAC positions UTEP Athletics for sustained success.

Your contributions matter more than ever. The MAC's refreshed brand now offers enhanced recognition, including acknowledgement of sport-specific and NIL support, updated priority points to reward your loyalty, and all-new benefits designed to amplify your impact. Together, we're elevating UTEP Athletics.

Beginning with the 2025-26 athletics year, the giving structure will recognize ALL UTEP Athletics Philanthropic Gifts and continue to reward those who purchase season tickets. For example, your gift to any UTEP Athletics Sports Excellence / Talent Acquisition Funds will now count toward your MAC giving level. MAC giving levels have been adjusted to account for this change and can be found below. Benefits for the 2025-26 athletics year will be determined by gifts made between September 1, 2024 and August 31, 2025.

All New Priority Point System

Our priority point system is designed to reward longtime supporters of UTEP Athletics while allowing new donors and season ticket holders to acquire appropriate benefits in recognition of their support of student-athletes.

How Points Are Used

UTEP season tickets, parking permits, away game, postseason, and Conference Championship game tickets are allocated based on priority point ranking. The Miner Athletic Club calculates priority points through philanthropic, ticket, and lifetime commitments.

How to Earn Points

Priority points are awarded on every dollar of support to the MAC Scholarship Fund, Sport Specific Giving, Talent Acquisition Funds, and University Giving. Bonus points are also awarded to Varsity Letter Winners and Consecutive Years of Season Tickets & Scholarship Fund contributions.

The Gold Standard Giving Society is an exclusive philanthropic giving society for UTEP athletics. This group comprises generous and committed donors who provide critical financial support for UTEP student-athletes and coaches, helping to enhance their experience in El Paso through philanthropy. The efforts of Gold Standard Society members are crucial in strengthening the rich culture and tradition of success within UTEP Athletics.
