Kaitlyn Stewart joined the UTEP Sports Medicine team as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in May of 2022. Her primary responsibility is the health care of the Miner soccer team.
Stewart comes to UTEP from Texas Lutheran University where she received both a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master of Athletic Training in May of 2022. She completed an immersive internship with the UTEP sports medicine staff during the last semester of her graduate program.
As a student she assisted with the USA Volleyball Club tournament, assisted with the Surf Club Semi-Professional Women’s Soccer team during their season and assisted with the Surf Club Soccer Tournament during her time at TLU. She served as a student senator for the Southwest Athletic Trainer’s Association.
Stewart has been a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association since 2018. She is certified by the Board of Certification and licensed in Texas. She is also certified in CPR/AED.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Stewart currently resides in El Paso with her baby Snickers.
