PRIOR TO UTEP

Competed at Hanks High School.
During senior season, qualified for the Texas Class 5A State Cross Country meet for the first time, placing 66^th.
Claimed the individual title in the Class 2-5A girls’ division at the district cross country championships.
Honored as the Hanks High School Athlete of the Year and Overall MVP, and won the Ray Sanchez Memorial El Paso Athletic Hall of Fame Athlete of the Year award.
