2017 (JUNIOR): Took first place at NM State meet with a time of 11:46.2 in the 4.01K … placed fifth at the Lori Fitzgerald (22:05.5) in the 6.4K … garnered a sixth-place finish at Joe Piane Norte Dame Invitational in the 7K with a time of 22:05.5 … took 13th place at the UNM Lobo Invitational in the 5K with a time of 16:46.9 … competed at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships

2016 (SOPHOMORE):  Took second-place at the Conference USA Championships with an 8K time of 24:05.3 and first team honors to aid UTEP in winning its second consecutive conference title… clocked a fifth-place 8K finish of 23:52.6 to lead the Miners at the Notre Dame Invite in a field of 202 runners… was the first to finish for the Miners at the NCAA Mountain Regionals meet to take silver in the 10K (30:58.6)…earned all-region honors for his Mountain Regional performance that pushed the Miners to fifth-place overall…placed 122nd at the NCAA Championships (10K/31:03.2)…crossed the line in second-place at the Kachina Classic (6.4K/19:24.65).

2015 (FRESHMAN): Took silver at the Conference USA Championships with an 8K time of 24:44.4to help UTEP win its first conference title since 2009 … top finisher for UTEP at the NCAA Championships with a 11th place showing in the 10K with a time of 30:04.4 to help UTEP finish 11th overall … placed third at the Notre Dame Invitational with an 8K time of 23:49.5 to help UTEP win the team title … took gold at the NCAA Mountain Regionals with a 10K time of 29:57.50 to become only second runner in program history to win an NCAA Mountain Regional … placed fourth at NCAA Pre Nationals with an personal best 8K time of 23.:24.3 … took gold at the Kachina Classic 7K with a time of 20:44.20 … earned two additional top-10 showings at the Texas Tech/NM State Dual (third) and the Lori Fitzgerald Classic (sixth)

Prior to UTEP: Finished third in his semifinal heat at the 2015 Kenyan National Championships with a time of 1:50.5 in the 800m run ... clocked a personal best 800m run time of 1:47.99 at altitude in Nairobi in June of 2014.

Personal: Son of Jane Bushenae and Benjamin Kipkoech ... physical therapy major ... has a twin sister ... played handball, volleyball and tennis in high school ... born in Eldoret, Kenya.
