2019 (SENIOR)
- Competed in five events.
- Named the 2019 Conference USA Outstanding Senior at the C-USA Championships.
- Named All-C-USA first team after placing second at the conference championships, clocking in a time of 17:03.76 in the 5k.
- Placed first at the Lori Fitzgerald Memorial, running a personal-best 16:40.52 in the 4.7km.
- Placed second at the Joe Piane-Notre Dame Invitational, posting a time of 15:55.86 in the 5000m.
- Registered a fourth-place finish at the Pre-National Invitational, clocking in a 20:50.3 in the 6k.
- Competed in the 6k at the NCAA Mountain Regionals.
2018 (JUNIOR)
- Posted first-place wins in the 5K at the Lobo Invitational and Lori Fitzgerald.
- Placed second at the Joe Piane in the 5K (16:53.25).
- Finished first in the 6K with a personal best of 20:00.9 at the Santa Clara Bronco.
- Finished second at the C-USA Championships in the 5K, earning first team honors.
- Member of the 2018 C-USA Cross Country Championship team, which is the first conference title in program history.
- Placed 13th overall at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships in the 6K (20:22.1).
- Earned all-region honors.
- Competed at the NCAA Championships finishing 73rd overall.
- Earned two C-USA Female Athlete of the Week accolades during the season (Sept. 4 and Sept. 18).
2017 (SOPHOMORE)
- Garnered three top-three finishes during the season.
- Garnered All-American honors with a personal-best time of 19:53.7 in the 6K at the NCAA Championships.
- Clocked a personal-best time of 16:38.6 at C-USA Championships in the 5K claiming a silver medal.
- Garnered second career All-Conference USA first team honors.
- Registered a personal best of 20:08.5 in the 6K at the Adidas D1 Pre Nationals.
- Placed fourth at NCAA Mountain Region Championships with a 6K time of 20:08.5.
- Finished first overall at Lori Fitzgerald in the 4.7K with a personal-best time of 17:36.1.
2016 (FRESHMAN)
- Was the first female from UTEP to qualify for NCAA Championships since 2012, and the first female freshman since 2009.
- Garnered four top-three finishes throughout the 2016 campaign, including two individual titles.
- Completed her first career NCAA Championships in the top-100 nationally as she cruised in at 92nd place (20:47.8) in the 6k.
- At the NCAA Mountain Regionals, ran her fastest 6K time at the regional meet (20.17.1) to take silver overall.
- Led the Miners to their third place team title at her first C-USA Championships.
- Took the individual championship title with an impressive 5K season-best time of 16:56.6 finishing ahead of second place by nearly 12 seconds.
- Was named C-USA Freshman of the Meet, and earned first team honors.
- Was the top finisher for UTEP with a third-place showing (20:57.6) at the NCAA Pre Nationals as she led the Miners during her first career 6K race.
- Took gold at Lori Fitzgerald Classic hosted by UTEP (4.7K/ 17:57.8).
HIGH SCHOOL
- Competed in the cross country national championships for Singore GIrls High School.
PERSONAL: Full name is Winny Koech ... daughter to David Chemitei and Sally Kiplimo ... has four brothers and two sisters ... Kinesiology major.
