Won UNM's offensive MVP honor at the team's postseason awards banquet.
The first freshman to lead the Lobos in rushing since 2002.
Won two district titles at Americas High in El Paso.
Played in just three games in the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, but gained 567 yards on 91 carries, with six touchdowns.
Named the Associated Press Class 6A first-team all-state as a junior, when he rushed for 3,184 yards (263.5 yards per game) and 36 touchdowns, breaking the 100-yard mark in all 12 games.
Also named District 1-6A Offensive MVP, AP first-team all-state and TSWA second-team Class 6A all-state as a sophomore, when rushed for 2,332 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Rushed for 6,083 yards and 57 touchdowns on 754 carries during his three-year career, when he rushed for 100 yards in 26 out of 26 games.
Averaged 8.1 yards per carry and 234 yards per game in high school.
Also wrestled and ran track in high school.
Played football for coach Patrick Melton at Americas.
