PRIOR TO UTEP: Two-year letterwinner who was a part of back-to-back CIF Championships at Oceanside High School (Oceanside, Calif.) for head coach John Carroll ... tabbed to the All-League team as a senior after registering 60 tackles, three interceptions and a pair of fumble recoveries... team finished at 10-3 ... posted 50 stops, along with three FR and an interception during junior campaign ... squad compiled a flawless 13-0 mark ... also saw action on offense, racking up 418 yards on 38 carries during his career ... played in the San Diego Alex Spanos All-Star Classic ... was a three-year letterwinner in track ... member of the honor roll as a junior and senior.
