Biography

2016 (SENIOR): Played in all 12 games … tallied seven tackles … recorded career-high four tackles against Army … registered a pair of stops versus Southern Miss … posted a tackle at LA Tech.


2015 (JUNIOR): Saw action in all 12 games on special teams and defense … posted a tackle versus Arkansas and Incarnate Word. 

2014 (SOPHOMORE): Participated in 12 games ... played mostly on the offensive line and on the special teams unit before moving to the defensive side of the ball midseason ... led team to New Mexico Bowl, its first since 2010.

2013 (FRESHMAN): Participated in eight games, starting the last five at right tackle including at No. 12 Texas A&M.

2012: Redshirted.

PRIOR TO UTEP: Two-time first team All-District 21-5A offensive lineman at North Shore High School, including a unanimous selection his senior year ... named All-Greater Houston by the Houston Chronicle as a senior and was a finalist for Touchdown Club Offensive Player of the Year ... helped North Shore to an 11-2 record in 2010 and an 8-4 mark in 2011 ... the Mustangs won the district title his junior year ... also threw the shot put and discus as a member of North Shore's track and field team with personal bests of 48 feet and 130 feet, respectively.

PERSONAL: Full name is Christian DeSean Harper ... parents are Stefan and Brandi Baker ... has three brothers and three sisters ... born in Lufkin, Texas ... communication studies major.
