Jacob Liebert begins his first season on the UTEP staff as the assistant defensive line coach in 2026.
Liebert began his coaching career at Wagner, joining the staff in 2024 as the program’s assistant linebackers coach and video coordinator. In 2025, Liebert was the video operations assistant at Stony Brook.
Before heading to the sidelines, Liebert played three seasons on the gridiron at Pace as a linebacker and punter. In 2023, Liebert tallied 35 tackles (13 solo) and 1.5 TFLs. On special teams, Liebert punted 23 times, totaling 890 yards (38.7 avg.). He started his collegiate playing career at Sacred Heart.
Liebert earned a bachelor’s degree in sports marketing from Pace and received his Master’s while at Wagner.
