Robert Kugler will serve as a graduate assistant in 2017. Kugler will be working with offensive line coach Spencer Leftwich.

Kugler played at Purdue from 2012-2015. He was a mainstay on the offensive line during his career with 43 consecutive starts at center and was twice voted a captain by his teammates. He was named to the 2015 Rimington Trophy watch list. Kugler garnered All-Big Ten honorable mention recognition and was invited to play in the 2015 East/West Shrine Game.

Closed out his collegiate career earning the Guy "Red" Mackey Award, which is presented to a player on each varsity team at Purdue that exemplify the overall success of the University's intercollegiate athletics programs.

Kugler not only exceled on the field but also was a three-year Academic All-Big Ten recipient, three-time CoSIDA Academic All-District 5 honoree, a three-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar-Athlete and a second team CoSIDA Academic All-America with a cumulative GPA of 3.85. Kugler was also named to the Dean’s List all eight semesters as an undergraduate student.

Kugler graduated from Purdue in 2015 as a double major in history and political science.

Kugler signed a free agent deal with the Buffalo Bills in 2016.
