Ryan Alexander will start his first season as quality control defense during the 2023 season after serving as a graduate assistant over the past two seasons.
He spent the 2020 season at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M where he wore a variety of hats, including serving as interim defensive coordinator, defensive backs coach, special teams coordinator, video coordinator and head strength and conditioning coach.
From 2018-20, he was the defensive backs coach at Fairmont State. He also managed the Offensive Scout Team and the Special Teams Scout Team.
He has coached an All-American in each of his three seasons as a coach -- Stephen Turner (Fairmont State 2018), Michael Porter (Fairmont State 2019) and Kobe Hylton (Northeastern Oklahoma 2020).
Alexander played linebacker, safety and cornerback over three seasons (2015-17) at Fairmont State. He walked on after spending two years at Norfolk State, and became a scholarship player following his first semester on campus.
He earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Fairmont State in 2017.
