Tahj Capehart begins his first season on the staff as the assistant wide receivers coach in 2026. 
 
Capehart joined UNLV in 2022 as a graduate assistant coach for defense for three seasons (2022-2024). Before going to Las Vegas, Capehart spent the 2021 season at San Diego State, where he served as a recruiting coordinator for the Aztecs. 
 
Capehart earned his bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Maryland in 2021. He was a four-year player for the Terrapins of the Big Ten Conference, lining up at wide receiver, defensive back and on special teams from 2017-2020.
