Biography

Jacob Martinez will serve as a graduate assistant in 2016. Martinez will assume duties with football operations under Nate Poss.

 

Martinez, a native of El Paso, was on the scout team during his first three years (2011-13) with the program. Martinez saw his first collegiate action against North Texas on Nov. 15, 2014 where he rushed for 16 yards.

 

Martinez earned three varsity letters as a running back at Cathedral High School. In 2009 he rushed for 784 yards and seven scores, while producing 571 yards and six touchdowns his senior season. Martinez grinded out 204 yards and three scores on 35 carries against Mountain View
