  • Did not see action during the season.

PRIOR TO UTEP
  • Played at WKU for two seasons (2020, 2021).
  • Saw action at FIU and against Florida Atlantic in 2021.
  • Tallied a tackle versus FAU.
  • Started for Damonte Ranch High School (Reno, Nev.) during sophomore and junior years, helping lead the Mustangs to a combined 23-3 record.
  • As a junior, was named First Team All-Nevada with 59 catches, 1,060 for yards and 19 touchdowns.
  • Prior to senior year, family moved to Franklin, Tenn., and attended Lipscomb Academy.
  • Two months after arriving, was named a captain by new teammates.
  • Named First Team All Tennessee and was honored as the Tennessee Middle Region Offensive Player of the Year after accumulating 1,426 total yards on 90 touches and 14 touchdowns.
  • High school head coach – former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer – was quoted publicly that: “Kyle McNamara is the toughest player I’ve ever been around.”

PERSONAL: Kyle McNamara is the son of Gary and Nicole McNamara … brother Cade, is a quarterback at Iowa, while brother, Jake, is a quarterback at UTEP … born in Nashville, Tenn. … father, Gary, was an outfielder at Fresno State and was an assistant baseball coach at Nevada … coached by former NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer at Lipscomb Academy.
