2013 (SOPHOMORE): Saw action on the scout team ... recipient of the Thomas Howard walk-on award at the Dinner with the Miners banquet.

2012 (FRESHMAN): Did not see any playing time.

PRIOR TO UTEP: Two-year starter in the secondary for Jefferson High School ... was tabbed a first-team All-District 1-4A performer in 2010 ... credited with 30 tackles, including 14 solo stops, while also breaking up three passes and recovering a fumble ... posted a season-high eight tackles against Irvin ... made 40 tackles, including 16 unassisted, to go along with four pass break-ups and an interception in 2009 ... tallied eight tackles against Chapin while posting seven versus Bowie and six against both El Paso and Andress.

PERSONAL: Son of Fernando and Hilda Rodriguez ... born in El Paso, Texas ... has two brothers ... interdisciplinary major.
