2018 (FRESHMAN): Played in all 12 games, starting nine contests …. ranked fifth on team with 60 tackles (20 solo) … added 3.5 tackles for loss (17 yards), 1.0 sack and a fumble recovery … established a career best with nine tackles and half a tackle for loss at LA Tech … registered nine stops and a sack at WKU … recorded eight tackles against North Texas … credited with seven tackles and half a tackle for loss in a victory at Rice … tallied eight tackles and half a tackle for loss against UAB … registered a pair of tackles and recovered a fumble at UTSA. 

2017 (RS FRESHMAN): Sat out due to shoulder surgery.

PRIOR TO UTEP: Member of the Allen Eagles that went 14-1, made it to the semifinals in the UIL 6A State Championships and ended the season ranked 16th nationally by MaxPreps ... played in an outlandish 545 plays during the 2015 season for the Eagles ... during senior campaign racked up 42 tackles (35 solo and seven assisted), eight tackles for loss, five sacks, 10 quarterback hurries and five forced fumbles ... recorded a season-high four tackles in six different games ... collected four tackles (two solo), one sack and three quarterback hurries in the UIL 6A playoffs quarterfinal victory against Denton Ryan ... notched four unassisted tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack in a shutout triumph over Flower Mound ... in a 65-0 win over Plano jarred out two forced fumbles, along with three quarterback hurries and three stops ... recorded four tackles and a tackle for loss in each game versus Denton Guyer and McKinney Boyd ... posted four tackles in three of the five playoff games for Allen ... as a junior compiled 72 tackles (50s/22a), four sacks, three tackles for losses and three forced fumbles ... recorded 25 stops during Allen's playoff run to a state title ... had a career-high 12 tackles in the 2014 season opener against Denton Guyer ... followed that performance up with 10 stops, one sack and a forced fumble against McKinney Boyd ... named to 2015 All-District first team and 2014 All-District 6-6A second team ... was selected to the 2016 Polynesian All-American Bowl.

PERSONAL: Sione Tupou is the son of Taufa and Maxine Tupou … has one sister and three brothers … younger brother James plays fullback for UTEP ... born in Sacramento, Calif. … kinesiology major.
