Lincoln Benson will serve as a graduate assistant for a second season with the UTEP football program in 2019. Benson will assume duties with the defense and football operations. 

Benson assumed duties as an assistant coach at Manhattan High School in 2016 and 2017. Benson also served as a student assistant at Kansas State in 2014 and 2015 for current UTEP head coach Dana Dimel. 

Benson played at Hutchinson Community College during the 2013 season. Benson’s grandfather, Jim Davie (assistant at Kansas State from 1979-83) coached Dimel while he was a player at K-State.
