Sekou Walker is in his 15th season as UTEP's equipment manager. He and his staff are in charge of outfitting the Miner football team.
Walker got his start in the UTEP equipment room as a student assistant while pursuing his bachelor's degree in Finance, which he received in 1992. Upon graduation, he served as assistant equipment manager for the Birmingham Barracudas in the Canadian Football League in 1995. Walker also was an equipment intern at Dallas Cowboys Training Camp in 1997.
Walker and his wife, Jacqueline, have two daughters -- Kyra (14 years old) and Kaitlin (11 years old).
