PRIOR TO UTEP: Earned All-District honors his senior year at Sam Houston High School in Arlington ... had 45 receptions for 675 yards and seven TDs in 2005 en route to being named Sam Houston[apos]s Most Improved Player ... two-year varsity letterwinner for coach George McFarland ... also competed in track and field for three years, competing in the triple jump (best of 46-8) and long jump (best of 22-10) ... district champ and regional qualifier in the triple jump.
