Giles Gilliam is starting his second season as a graduate assistant on UTEP Head Coach Joe Golding's staff in the 2022-23 season.
Prior to coming to El Paso, Gilliam served as a graduate assistant at Mary Hardin-Baylor under head coach Clif Carroll during the 2020-21 season.
Prior to following Carroll to Belton, Texas, Gilliam played for him at Sul Ross State during the 2019-20 campaign. Gilliam played 237 minutes in 23 games, and starting in five.
Gilliam started his collegiate career playing for head coach Jeff Hironaka at Colorado Christian University for two seasons (2017-19).
Gilliam graduated with a bachelors in Global Studies from Colorado Christian University in 2020.
Gilliam, a native of Dripping Springs, Texas, played his high school ball at Dripping Springs High School where he was part of the 2013-14 district championship team and earned all-district and all-county honors.
