2018-19 (SENIOR): Competed in 12 tournaments … led the Miners with a 71.5 stroke average in 35 rounds of action … named to All-Conference USA second team … earned C-USA co-Golfer of the Week (Oct. 24) and Golfer of the Week (Feb. 27) … registered six top-10 performances and finished as the top Miners in seven events … fired a 3-over par (71-72-73—216) to win first collegiate tournament, placing tied for first at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate at NM State Golf Course … won first outright championship the next week at the Pepsi-Cola Classic, running away from the field with a career-best 15-under par (69-65-67—201) … fired a Red Hawk Club record with a career-low 65 in the second round at the Pepi Classic … named C-USA co-Golfer of the Week following performance at Red Hawk … UTEP won the Pepsi-Cola Classic, firing a 9-under par (291-282-282—855) ... fired a 7-under par (70-67-72—209) at the John Burns Intercollegiate, placing tied for fourth … penciled in a 67 during the second round at Wailua Municipal Golf Course at the John Burns and was named C-USA Golfer of the Week … opened senior campaign finishing tied for fifth at 4-under par (71-69—140) at the Golfweek Conference Challenge … shot a 5-under 208 (71-71-66), placing tied for seventh at the GCU Invitational … placed sixth at the Bearkat Invitational, recording a 3-under par (71-72-70—213).
2017-18 (JUNIOR): Competed in 11 tournaments (33 rounds) … 72.5 stroke average ranked second best on team with 33 or more rounds played … best showing came at the Price’s Give ‘Em Five Invitational, placing fifth after firing a season-low 209, 4-under (70-70-69) … fired a 216, 3-over par (74-74-68) to finish tied for 14th at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate … fired a 214, 2-under par (75-69-70) to place tied for 36th at the National Invitational Tournament … finished tied for 12th as the top Miner at the Marquette Intercollegiate after shooting a 219, 3-over par (70-76-73) … placed 13th at the Lone Star Invitational, firing a 217, 1-over (70-72-75) … finished tied for 50th at the Gene Miranda Invitational after tallying a 220, 4-over par (71-75-74) … placed at the top Miner at the Western Intercollegiate (tied for 26th) after shooting a 212, 2-over par (72-67-73), including a season-low score of 67 during the second round … finished tied for 16th at the Conference USA Championship, firing a 220, 4-over par (78-69-73).
2016-17 (SOPHOMORE): Saw action in seven spring tournaments for the Miners after transferring from Oklahoma, recording a 72.35 stroke average (second best on the team) in 20 rounds played...named to the All-Conference USA First Team...was a part of the Conference USA Championship team, where he tied for 35th with 4-over 220 (73-73-74) in the stroke play portion and split his match play duels...finished with a share of 29th with 8-over 221 (73-77-71) at the NCAA Washington Regional...was UTEP's top finisher twice: at the John Burns Intercollegiate (T-26th) with 1-over 217 (74-71-72) and at the Lone Star Invitational (T-sixth with teammate Frederik Dreier) with 7-under 209 (71-71-67)...best tournament total of 209 and highest finish (T-sixth) came at the Lone Star Invitational.
PRIOR TO UTEP: Played one season for Oklahoma as a freshman...participated in three events for the Sooners with his debut at the Carmel Cup where he finished tied for 34th...took a share of 44th in the Sooners’ team win at the Ka’anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational…finished tied for 62nd in the two-round Maxwell...won the 2016 Mexican Amateur Championship...was the No. 1 junior golfer in Mexico for three years in high school…placed in the top 10 at the Toyota Junior Golf World Cup three times … finished in the top 10 at the US Junior Amateur in 2013 … four-year member of the Mexican National Team.
PERSONAL: Full name is Aaron Terrazas...parents are Isaac Terrazas and Ruth Morales…has one brother, Allan…father Isaac is a former professional soccer player for the Mexican National Team...International Relations major…has recorded three holes-in-one.
