Biography
2023-24 (SOPHOMORE)
- Did not see action in any tournaments.
2022-23 (FRESHMAN)
- Competed in four tournaments as a true freshman.
- Shot 17-over par 233 at the Wyoming Desert Classic.
- Fired a season-low 72 in the third round the John A. Burns Intercollegiate.
PRIOR TO UTEP
- El Paso product competed at Coronado High School.
- Claimed the 2022 District 1-6A golf title at Butterfield Trail Golf Club in March.
- Shot 2-under, 70 in the final round and finished the 27-hole tournament with a 113 (final round was shortened to nine holes after strong winds hit the course).
- Four-time first team All-District (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022).
- District 1-6A individual runner-up in 2019, 2020, 2021.
- Efforts helped surge Coronado to the 2022 team title with a 466.
- Graduated high school with a scoring average of 72.4.
- Qualified for the IMG Junior World Championship in 2021 and 2022.
PERSONAL: Ryan James Lewis is the son of Sandra and Tommy Lewis … has one sister … born in El Paso … management major.
