2009 (JUNIOR): Started and played in all 57 games for UTEP ... named to the Conference USA All-Tournament team after going 5-for-12 (.417) with six runs ... ended the season batting .250 while recording 27 runs on 38 hits, seven doubles, two home runs and five RBIs ... ranked second on the team in stolen bases with 10 ... drew 13 walks and seven hit-by-pitches ... posted a fielding percentage of .911 with 47 putouts and four assist in centerfield ... posted nine multiple hit games including a season-best three versus Texas (Feb. 28) ... recorded a career-high four RBIs against Houston (March 22) after lacing her first career home run.

PRIOR TO UTEP: A catcher for Tallahassee CC, Smith was named third team All-American by Easton Sports, Inc. and second team All-South region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association in 2008 ... tabbed first team All-Panhandle and second team All-FCCAA honoree after leading TCC to the NJCAA Championships ... earned TCC Student-Athlete of the Year ... FCCAA and Gulf Coast All-Tournament selection ... earned Panhandle Conference All-Academic for her achievements in the classroom ... a two-time first team All-SCAC league honoree.
