Biography
PRIOR TO UTEP
- Competed as a sprinter and jumper at Franklin High School.
- Clocked in a personal-best 10.39 in the 100-meter dash, placing third at the 2025 UIL 6A Area 01-02.
- Turned a PR time of 21.45 in the 200-meter dash, finishing second at the 2025 UIL 6A District 01 Track Meet.
- Was on seven first-place 4x100-meter relays.
- Part of a fourth-place 4x1 team that clocked in a season-best 40.36 at the Texas UIL 6A State Championships.
- Competed with 4x400 team, winning four of five events, including a second-place finish (season-best 3:12.35) at the Texas UIL 6A State Championships.
- Leaped a personal-best mark of 22-2, winning the long jump at the Pebble Hills Invitational.
- Finished first in the long jump (20-9) at the Parkland Invitational.
PERSONAL: Elias Munoz is the son of Francisco and Sarah Munoz ... has two brothers and two sisters ... born in San Diego, Calif. ... also competed in football at Franklin High School.
