Biography
PRIOR TO UTEP
- Competed in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash, 4x100-meter relay and 400-meter relay while at Fort Worth Arlington Heights High School.
- Clocked in a personal-best 11.85 (2.9) in the 100, placing second at the UIL 5A Region I meet.
- Finished second in the 100 with a time of 12.02 at the Keller Central Chargers Relays.
- Turned in a PR time of 24.33 (2.1) and finished fourth in the 200 at the UIL 5A Region I meet.
- Was second in the 200 (25.45) at the Saginaw Rough Riders Relays.
- Posted a personal-best 57.50 with a first-place finish at the Keller Central Chargers Relays.
- Part of the second-place 4x1 relay team that turned in a 48.63 at the Wyatt Lee A Williams Chaparral 7th Annual Relays.
- Was on a pair of first-place 4x4 teams – 4:10.76 at the Keller Central Chargers Relays, and 4:11.19 at the Wyatt Lee A Williams.
PERSONAL: Jaylah Harris is the daughter of Otis Harris and Tobi Franklin ... has one brother and one sister ... born in Sacramento, Calif.
