2025 All-Conference USA First Team (DMR)
2025 OUTDOOR (FRESHMAN)
- Placed fifth in the 1500 final with a 3:52.36 at the CUSA OTF Championships.
- Clocked in a personal-best 3:47.07 in the 1500 at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
- Turned in a PR time of 1:55.23 in the 800 at the Sun City Classic.
2025 INDOOR (FRESHMAN)
- Part of the gold-medal winning DMR time with a time of 10:04.06 at the CUSA ITF Championships.
- Named first team All-CUSA in the DMR.
- Clocked in a personal-best time of 4:11.30, placing seventh in the mile at the CUSA ITF Championships.
- Competed in the 3000 at the Corky Classic and Don Kirby Elite Invitational.
- Ran the mile at the New Mexico Team Open and Don Kirby.
PRIOR TO UTEP
- Clocked in a season-best 1:54.22 in the 800-meter run and placed second at the 2024 UIL 5A Region 2 | 6A Region 1 Championships.
- Won the 1600-meter run with a 4:22.10 at the 2024 Pebble Hills Invitational.
- Finished runner-up in the 1600 at the 2023 UIL 6A District 01 Championships (4:29.02) and at the UIL 6A Area 01-02 (4:27.03).
- Posted a season-best time of 4:51.56 in the 1500 at the 2021 Montwood Moose Invitational.
PERSONAL: Juan Leal is the son of Juan Leal and Romelia Moreno de Leal … has three sisters … sisters Deborah and Larissa attended UTEP … born in El Paso … mechanical engineering major.
