2024 OUTDOOR (FRESHMAN)
  • Clocked in a personal-best 1:18.67 in the 400-meter hurdles at the Conference USA OTF Championships at Kidd Field.
  • Saw action in the 400H at the Don Kirby Tailwind Open with a 1:12.74 and a fourth-place finish. 
 
2024 INDOOR (FRESHMAN)
  • Posted a personal-best 1:04.40 in the 400m dash at the Stan Scott Memorial.

PRIOR TO UTEP
  • Competed in the 400m, 300m hurdles, 4x400m relay at Franklin HS. 
  • 400M PR: 1:01.23, at UIL 6A District 1 championships 4/6/23.
  • 300M H PR: 48.61, at Willie Williams Classic 3/25/23.
  • 4x4 time of 4:00.84 at UIL 6A Area 01-02 4/21/23

PERSONAL: Thiaxi Lyn Melendez is the daughter of Enrique Melendez and Cinthia Cepeda … has two brothers … graduated from Franklin High School.
