UTEP Miners

Harper Sheets is in her first season as a graduate assistant with the UTEP women's basketball team. The Greeley, Colo., native arrived at UTEP after playing three years at Hastings College in Hastings, Neb. 

In her senior year during the 2018-2019 season, Sheets played in 33 games and was an all-around player contributing to her team that made a run to the Sweet 16 in the NAIA Division II National Tournament. Sheets also helped her team in her junior season earn an Elite 8 bid in the National Tournament.

Sheets earned her bachelor's degree in 2019, graduating with a double major in business administration and human resource management, with a minor in art. She is now working towards her master's degree in the leadership studies program as a Miner. 

Some of Sheets's other hobbies include reading, drawing, pottery, and spending time outdoors. Sheets was also was part of the "So You Want To Be a Coach" program that develops and guides young female athletes into the coaching world. Sheets is thankful to the program for helping her pursue her coaching career and preparing her for her first coaching job as a graduate assistant at UTEP.
