Chambe, a native of Maputo, Mozambique, ventures to the Sun City from Seward Community College ... member of the U-16, U-18 and U-20 national team ... a two-year starter who registered 14 career double-doubles and 28 double-digit scoring efforts before her sophomore campaign was halted early due to an injury ... eleven of the double-doubles came during her freshman year ... at the time of her injury, Chambe was averaging 13.1 ppg and a team-leading 9.1 rebounds per contest through 12 games ... scored a season-high 21 points against Fort Scott ... registered 15 rebounds against Carson Air Force ... Chambe started all 32 games her freshman year, while averaging 10.2 points per game and 9.2 rpg ... she paced the Saints in minutes played per game (27.3), free throws made (77), free-throw attempts (136), offensive rebounds (94), defensive rebounds (200), total rebounds (294) and blocked shots (21) ... a dominating low post player, Chambe[apos]s efforts garnered her placement to the Jayhawk West All Conference Team ... she was a member of the all-league second squad ... checked in ninth in the nation in rebounding ... member of the school[apos]s academic honor roll ... was one of three players on her team to earn a scholarship upon leaving SCC.
