2015-16 (SOPHOMORE):Impact player off the bench who put up 6.3 points/game (fifth on team), 2.1 assists/game (third on team) and 1.0 steals/game (fourth on team) in 23.2 minutes/game (fourth on team) ... hit 37-126 (29.4 percent) from three-point range to place second on the team for 3PM, 3PA and 3P% ... top assist-to-turnover ratio (+1.30) on the squad, with 68 helpers to 52 giveaways ... lock-down defender, who often spelled Miners' top-wing defender Cameasha Turner ... poured in 18 points off the bench , including two big triples in the second OT period, in the C-USA regular-season clinching title win vs. Charlotte (2/27) ... hit double figures in seven contests ... nailed six triples, which tied as the most by any C-USA player in 2015-16, to help record a career-high 22 points in a win vs. New Mexico (12/2) ... sank two free throws in the waning seconds to help seal a 57-54 win at Southern Miss (2/18) ... scored 14 points, including a long three pointer with 48 seconds left to put UTEP up by four in eventual win at WKU (2/6) ... also dished out a season-best six assists in the game ... with two starters hurt, stepped up to score 17 points at FIU (1/23) ... pitched in seven points, including a clutch three pointer with 47 seconds remaining to break the fourth and final tie of the tilt, in UTEP's road win at I-10 rival NM State (12/5).
2014-15 (FRESHMAN): Competed in all 28 contests (12 starts) for the Miners ... had an outstanding freshman campaign where she average 8.1 points per game and 28.5 minutes per game ... took on more of a leadership role than was expected from a true freshman and handled it exceptionally well at the point guard position ... earned a spot on the 2015 C-USA All-Freshman Team ... voted C-USA Freshman Player of the Week three times during the year, matching a the total by UTEP as an institution since the award's inception in the 2009-10 season ... had team-leading 89 assists for the season ... ranked second on the team with 40 steals ... scored in double digits 10 times during the year ... set career-highs in points (16), rebounds (five) and steals (four) in a great win versus North Texas (3/5/15) ... dished out a career-high seven assists in back to back games against Prairie View A&M (12/20/14) and then Alcorn State (12/28/14) ... came up with a steal in a tight contest at Charlotte (2/12/15) to keep the 49ers from attempting a game winning shot.
PRIOR TO UTEP: Played her first three years of high school basketball with Bellaire HS (Houston, Texas), earning All- District 20-5A honors each season ... was a second-team member as a freshman (2011) while securing first-team all league status in both 2012 & 2013 ... also selected to VYPE's All-Greater Houston Girls' Basketball Third Team in 2013 ... transferred to Texas A&M Consolidated HS (South College Station, Texas) for her senior season... Was the MVP of District 14-5 A while securing All-District honors ... made the move because her father, Clarence McKinney, is the running backs for Texas A&M's football team ... speaks to him before every contest ... helped guide Bellaire to a 33-4 mark during the 2012-13 season ... ranked as a three star player by Premiere Basketball Report ... touted as a smart point guard who can score and assist and thrives in the role as a leader on the court ... has been mentored by former NBA player & coach John Lucas since the sixth grade.
