Angel Flores joined the UTEP Sports Medicine team as an assistant athletic trainer in January of 2024. Her primary responsibility is the health care of the soccer team.Â

Angel comes to UTEP from New Mexico State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and is currently pursuing a Master's in Education online at NM State.Â

Growing up, Angel played soccer for 16 years and coached for three years, where she found a love and passion for the sport. This made it easy to make the decision to pursue a career that keeps her close to Women’s Soccer at the Division-I level. As a student, she has assisted with NM State football, women’s basketball, women's soccer, and cross country/track & field.Â

Angel is certified by the Board of Certification and licensed in Texas. She is also certified in CPR/AED and Stop the Bleed.
