2024 | 5TH YEAR
- Starting libero for the Miners in aLl 33 matches (116 sets)
- On October 9, in front of a raucous crowd of over 2,300 fans at Club Memorial, Alyssa Sianez cemented her place in UTEP Volleyball history by becoming the program’s all-time career leader in digs. Fittingly, she broke the eight-year-old record—previously held by Sarah Villa—in a 3-1 victory over NM State, the same opponent and venue where Villa originally set the mark in 2016.
- Led the team with 322 digs and 2.78 digs per set, while adding 87 assists and 12 service aces.
- Borderland Invitational All-Tournament Team (9/7)
- Recorded a .968 reception percentage with 28 errors on 869 attempts.
- Hit perfect reception percentage on 10 occasions
- Season highs: 8 assists vs. WKU (10/25); 4 service aces at FIU (9/28); 23 digs vs. WKU (10/26)
- Posted 15 double-digit dig performances
- Helped the Miners achieve a 27-6 record and earn the program’s first NCAA tournament appearance.
- Aided the Miners in securing a No. 15 national ranking in match win-loss percentage (.818), the highest in Conference USA.
- Contributed to the Miners setting a program record with 263 total service aces, leading both the nation and Conference USA in that category, while also helping the team rank No. 2 nationally—and first in CUSA—in aces per set (2.27).
- Contributed to the Miners finishing No. 25 nationally in opponent hitting percentage (.168), the best in Conference USA.
2023 | SENIOR
- Starting libero for the Miners and played in 131 sets across 35 matches
- Led the squad with 392 total digs
- Ranked second on the team in aces and fourth in assists
- Helped the Miners to a team program record for total aces (255)
- Contributed to UTEP’s No. 2 national ranking in service aces (255)
- Posted 23 double-digit digs
- Recorded career-high eight assists versus Washington (8/25)
- Achieved season-high 30 digs versus Washington (8/25) – just one shy of matching career best of 31 digs
- Became the 14th player in program history to join the 1,000-dig club (10/8)
- Currently 5th with 1,169 career digs and will return for the 2024 season

- Conference USA $12,500 Grand Prize Winner: Go Teach Dr Pepper Tuition Giveaway Program (2/17)
- The Go Teach Dr Pepper Tuition Giveaway is part of a collective six-year effort between the CFP Foundation and Dr Pepper, awarding more than $1.5 million in tuition to student-athletes looking to become teachers. Each year, up to 150 student-athletes will be awarded $2,500 in tuition, and nine grand-prize recipients will receive an additional $10,000 tuition grant – one student per conference.

- Stepped in as UTEP's starting libero on March 1 versus North Texas and recorded a career-high 21 digs
- Played in 56 sets across 15 matches
- Led Conference USA in three-pass percentage (2.44); three-pass percentage quantifies the efficiency of a serve-receiver to put the ball at middle and front of the net for the Miners' setters
