Andrea Beaty

Andrea Beaty was named assistant volleyball coach at UTEP on Jan. 23, 2019.

Alongside fellow assistant coach Nikola Petrovic, Beaty helped bring an eight-win improvement (13-15, 6-8 C-USA) in the new coaching staff's first year running the program in 2019. It was the Miners' highest win total since 2014.
 
Beaty joined the Miner family after serving as head coach of Saint Francis Borgia High School. She led the program to 100 victories over four seasons (2015-18), with three tournament titles, four district championships, four conference championships and two final-four appearances.
 
During her time at the high school level she produced 10 all-state honorees, 18 all-conference selections and saw six players continue their playing careers at the collegiate level.
 
She also has eight years of experience coaching at the club level with Rockwood Thunder-Springfield Juniors-SMVA. Beaty mentored 22 players that went on to play collegiate volleyball.
 
The Pacific, Mo., native began her college playing career at SLU. In her sophomore season (2011) Beaty led the team in kills (357), garnering an A-10 All-Conference First-Team selection and was an A-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll student.
 
She concluded her career at Missouri State University, where she amassed more than 1,000 career kills and 200 blocks. Beaty was a two-time All-MVC Second-Team recipient and MVC Scholar-Athlete First-Team member.
 
She graduated in May of 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
