Nunez is entering his sixth season with the Miners. He currently holds the position of Video/Volleyball Data Coordinator, where he provides the squad with team and individual statistical analysis for games and practices. In his first-five seasons he served as the manager and helped prepare the student-athletes for competition as a practice player.
Brings six years of head coaching experience at the club level. Is currently the associate director and head coach of the Texas Magic VBC. Was an assistant coach for the 915 United Volleyball Club during the 2014-2015 season, helping lead the 15U team to nationals. In the summers of 2015 and 2016, he was the head coach of two separate beach volleyball teams, leading them to nationals in consecutive years. Began coaching when he was 14 years old, while at Daegu high school in South Korea.
Played two season at Alderson Broaddus University, before transfering to UTEP and finishing his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology in May of 2018. Nunez is pursuing his master's degree in Public Health in Community Health Education at NM State. Married to his wife, Victoria Valencia, who was an all-city volleyball player from San Elizario, Texas. Valencia was also a four-year letter winner at UTEP as a defensive specialist and libero.
