Mandy Pulido was elevated to Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator at UTEP in April of 2026. Pulido previously served as the Miners’ Director of Student-Athlete Development.
Pulido rejoined UTEP Athletics in January of 2023 as Director of Student-Athlete Development and NCAA Designated ADID. She serves as Sport Administrator for the women's basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field programs. She also oversees the student-athlete development unit, which encompasses career and leadership development, community engagement, mental wellness, the TWC program, and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Pulido's duties include serving as the liaison to the Office of Community Standards, Title IX education and compliance, and Housing and Residence Life. She will serve on the Mountain West SWA Committee and Joint Council group.
Pulido was tournament director for the 2024 CUSA Indoor Volleyball Championship and co-director of the 2024 CUSA Outdoor Track & Field Championship. She oversees the department’s annual year-end Golden Pick Awards, National Girls and Women in Sports Day initiatives, and serves as game day administrator for all home indoor and beach volleyball matches. Previously, Pulido served as sport administrator for UTEP’s indoor and beach volleyball programs.
As a key campus liaison, Pulido has partnered with units such as the Student Engagement and Leadership Center, Career Center, and Center for Community Engagement. She actively contributes to a variety of University committees and initiatives such as the Provost Community Engagement Council, Miner Welcome Committee, Hazing Prevention Week, Alcohol Awareness Week, Minerpalooza, Texas Western Gold Rush, Miners Leadership Summit, First Generation Celebration, Project MOVE and UTEP Edge.
Pulido has more than a decade of experience in student-athlete development. Prior to returning to UTEP, she spent seven and a half years at the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW), where she founded the Life Skills Department and played a key role in the institution’s transition from Division II to Division I. At UIW, she developed innovative career and personal development programming for more than 500 student-athletes, advised the SAAC, and created signature initiatives including the GROW Leadership Institute, Athletes in Mentorship (AIM) program, and Women’s Empowerment (WE) Circles. She also led Title IX education, mental wellness programming, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, while overseeing community engagement efforts that generated more than 41,000 service hours in the San Antonio community.
Additional responsibilities at UIW included leading all-staff meetings, directing student-athlete recognition programs, managing Life Skills social media campaigns and website, updating the Student-Athlete Handbook, and serving on multiple campus committees.
Earlier in her career, Pulido served as a Postgraduate Intern in the NCAA Office of Inclusion, where she supported national programming and events focused on education, community engagement, career development, and diversity initiatives. She also gained foundational experience as UTEP’s Graduate Assistant Life Skills Coordinator, while completing her Master’s in Communication Studies.
Pulido has been selected for numerous professional development opportunities throughout her career, including the NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar, NCAA Effective Facilitation Workshop, NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum (Facilitator), NCAA Common Ground V (Participant), NCAA Inclusion Forum (Presenter), Women Leaders in Sports (formerly NACWAA) National Convention Scholarship Recipient, N4A National Convention Scholarship Recipient, and Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) Presenter.
Pulido has also helped student-athletes at UIW and UTEP earn national recognition, including one NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship recipient (2019), two NCAA SAAC representatives from UIW for the Southland Conference (2019 & 2022), one NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum selectee (2023), and two NCAA Career in Sports Forum attendees (2025).
Pulido earned both her Bachelor of Arts (2011) and Master of Arts (2014) degrees from UTEP, with a Communications focus. She competed on the Miner track and field team from 2007-11 while serving on the SAAC. She was a graduate of Austin High School in El Paso.
