Arrion Ellis was named Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Digital Strategy at UTEP in August of 2024.

Ellis previously worked at Texas State University as the marketing coordinator, overseeing the marketing efforts for baseball, men's basketball and volleyball. He was also the contact person for all community outreach opportunities for Texas State Athletics and assisted in the Bobcat Kids Club program.

Prior to Texas State, he started his career as the Marketing Coordinator for UIW Athletics.

Ellis received his Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2019 and his Master’s in Mass Communication from Texas State in 2022. He is a San Antonio native.
