Austin DeFilippo joined UTEP Athletics and the Taymar Sales U team as General Manager of Ticket Sales and Operations in June of 2025.
DeFilippo hails from Hamden, Conn. He graduated from Endicott College in 2020, earning his Bachelor's degree in Sport Management with a minor in Business Administration. During that time, he completed two internships with Quinnipiac University in the Athletic Ticket Office, and another with Strategic Partnerships. He also completed internships with the Nutmeg State Games and Northeastern University Athletics.
DeFilippo began pursuing his Master's degree in Sport Leadership at Northeastern University, completing the work in 2022.
He started working for the Baltimore Orioles in July of 2021 as a ticket partnerships representative before accepting a position with the Durham Bulls as an account executive in February of 2022. He was a member of the Bulls staff for three years, and was elevated to senior account executive in January of 2023. He enjoyed a brief stint in tech sales before coming to El Paso.
