Ben Peterson was named Assistant Athletic Director for Miner Vision at UTEP in June of 2025.
Peterson joined the Miners after serving as Director of Broadcast Production at the University of Idaho since August of 2024. While with the Vandals, Peterson produced and directed over 70 ESPN+ productions across nine sports. Peterson continuously worked to enhance and upgrade the streaming experience for Idaho fans, adding slam cams, hoop mics, multi-channel replays, atmospheric audio mixing and more.
Peterson started his career as the web video manager at Wisconsin-Stout from 2022-24. He was the head broadcast producer for the Blue Devils, executing 150+ broadcasts over 11 sports for the WIAC Sports Network.
He served as Video Production Supervisor for the Eau Claire Express baseball team, a member of the Northwoods League, during the summers of 2023 and 2024. All broadcasts were delivered to NWL+, with marquee matchups airing on ESPN+. Following the 2024 season, Peterson and his team earned the "Best Video Production Game Coverage" Award for their division.
