Drew Bonney is in his 10th season as a member of UTEP Athletics. He was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Communications in October of 2021.

Bonney made his UTEP Athletics debut with IMG College in August 2011. He then started with UTEP Athletics Media Relations in January 2013 as a graduate assistant and was elevated to a full-time status in September 2014 as an Assistant Director of Communications.

Bonney was promoted to Associate Director of Strategic Communications in September 2017. 

The El Paso native was born on Long Island, N.Y., and has lived in the Sun City since he was one. Bonney graduated from Montwood High School in 1993, followed by earning a degree in electronic media at The University of Texas at El Paso in May 2010.

Bonney has a daughter, Cambrie Alessandra Bonney.
