UTEP Miners

Katia Flores serves as the Graduate Assistant for Marketing with UTEP Athletics.

A native El Pasoan, Katia began her career with the department in 2025 as a Marketing Intern in the marketing office, where she gained experience in promotions, scripts, and sponsorship. She later expanded her skill set during a brief stint with UTEP Football as a Recruiting Intern, learning more about Marketing and the inner workings of athletics.

Katia earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Marketing from UTEP in December 2025.

In her current role, she contributes to the execution of games and other athletic events through script writing and directing. Her work focuses on elevating the UTEP brand and delivering an experience through athletic events that connects fans to the student-athlete experience.
