UTEP Football Head Coach Scotty Walden announced Maddie Rose as the Miners’ director of creative content on Jan. 2, 2024.

Rose is familiar with Walden and his staff as she served as Austin Peay’s director of digital media for the past two seasons (2022-2023). With new coaches and players come new stories to tell, and Rose – amongst other duties – will help lead the charge in producing that content for Miner fans.

While a Governor, Rose created graphics for 16 different athletics’ programs that included content such as game day, posters, starting lineups and honors while maintaining university and athletic branding guidelines.

Rose’s duties didn’t stop at designing graphics, as she also photographed games, practices, media days and other miscellaneous events at Austin Peay. She communicated and worked with SIDs, the athletic director, director of creative video and student-athletes to produce consistent content and branding on all “Let’s Go Peay” social media platforms.

Prior to her time in Clarksville, Tenn., Rose’s collegiate athletics’ career started at her alma mater Kent State as a graphic design intern for the football program during the 2021 season thru spring 2022. Her duties included graphic design for the program’s various social media platforms. Rose also assisted with photoshoots for official and unofficial visits, while capturing photos at practice and during games.

Rose received her Bachelor of Arts – Visual Communication Design from Kent State University in 2022.
