Marcus Neal joined the UTEP Athletics Strategic Communications Office as a graduate assistant in August 2025. He serves as the primary contact for women’s basketball and women’s golf, in addition to assisting at other home events.
Neal, from Charlotte, N.C., joined UTEP after playing basketball and serving as a student assistant in the sports information office at Ferrum College in Ferrum, Va. He also gained experience as a Social Media and Marketing Intern with the Ferrum College Marketing and Communications Department. Additionally, Neal previously competed with NCAA Division II program Bluefield State and Mendocino College.
Neal graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Sports Management with a concentration in Media and Communication from Ferrum College in May 2024.
