Mica Gelb joined UTEP Athletics as Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning in February of 2026.
Gelb spent four years as an offensive lineman at Michigan. He was a two-year letterwinner and helped the Wolverines win two Big Ten championships, while making two appearances in the College Football Playoff (CFP).
Following the completion of his playing career, Gelb interned in Michigan's strength department, and worked with the 2023 national championship team. In the summer of 2024, he was promoted to full-time strength and conditioning coach at U-M, prior to making his way to El Paso.
